Have you ever heard the slogan: “Health is the new wealth!”? Well, it certainly is. There is a considerable emphasis on health in today’s day and age, be it mental health or physical, and it’s amazing to see how it’s all intertwined.

Being healthy takes effort, time, and discipline. It can be quite difficult to maintain a certain diet or a routine that is oh so necessary to keep your health on point. Speaking of discipline, it’s quite difficult to resist certain foods. Food is actually a good example and how we’re all constantly bombarded by all the meal deals and different food products that aren’t good for us.

Therefore it’s important to follow a strict diet which isn’t easy, but it is a key to living a healthy life. Having a community or an inspiration while adjusting to a certain diet can be a massive help, and there are great sources of tips and inspiration out there, especially on social media such as Instagram.

The Keto diet has proved to be a great tool for a healthy body and mind so let’s dig a little deeper into the keto world. We’ll share some of the best female keto influencers on Instagram. What all these influencers do well is share great keto recipes, take great pics, and naturally, as influencers, they certainly know how to use the right hashtag.

Keto is essentially a low-carb, high-fat ketogenic diet that allows you to eat as much fat as you want. The idea is to train your body to burn fats for fuel instead of carbohydrates which are usually used as a source of energy. Burning fats is a very quick way to lose weight and a healthier fuel source since it doesn’t affect your glucose levels, unlike carbs. Carbohydrates are converted into glucose which is blood sugar used by your body as fuel before it starts using fat for energy. By going keto, you are skipping this step, and you’re adapting your body to instantly burn fat and use fat as your primary source of energy. Some of the main benefits of the keto diet are improved athletic performance, weight loss, balanced blood glucose levels (especially for diabetics), reduced appetite, reduced blood sugar, lower blood pressure, beneficial for cancer patients and brain disorders.

With no further ado, we’ve made a list of the best female keto influencers that have been inspiring us for quite some time now:

The @fooddreamer handle is Carolyn, who was diagnosed with gestational diabetes while pregnant. This made Carolyn cut down on carbs, but as her Instagram bio says, she has an unrepentant sweet tooth, so now she’s making keto-friendly cakes, cookies, and sweets. Besides being a very skillful keto dessert chef, she also takes gorgeous pictures of her foods, and her entire Instagram timeline is very aesthetically pleasing. Carolyn also has a new cookbook out titled “The Ultimate Guide To Keto Baking.”

You want keto-friendly comfort food? Look no further; @ketowize offers a keto spin on fast foods, snacks, and sweets. There are also tips on how and what to order at your favorite fast-food restaurants such as Taco Bell or Starbucks and make it keto-friendly.

By far, our favorite Instagram handle, “Cheese Is The New Bread” is a very quirky way of subtly telling you that bread won’t really work with your keto diet and that healthy fats are the way to go. Christina’s timeline has an immense amount of great recipes, especially if you like to indulge in a bit of a keto greasy spoon vibe.

Christina Curp is behind this Instagram account. Besides being extremely focused on healthy diets, keto and paleo, it’s important to mention that Christina is a big advocate for human rights and mindfulness. Great source of recipes and reminders of how to live authentically and mindfully.

If you want to see photo after photo of delicious food, this is the one for you! Accordingly to her bio, this Canada native shares lazy keto and low carb diet recipes. Just good to us!
